What is a hydraulic pump?
A pump is a mechanical device allowing to pressurize and circulate a fluid.

Hydraulic pumps convert a mechanical energy (torque, rotational speed) usually from a motor into a hydraulic energy (flow, pressure).

It is wrong to think that a hydraulic pump does not only provide a flow but also a pressure. The role of a hydraulic pump is only to create a flow. The pressure in the hydraulic circuit is due to the resistance to flow met by the fluid. The variable displacement pump supplies with a maximum flow. When the hydraulic circuit requires less oil, le excess flow increases the pressure on the discharge side of the pump, this increase in pressure reduces the pump capacity. Pressure creates a force on the vane and therefore creates a rotational movement of the rotor and the motor coupling shaft.

Valves are directional taps. They conduct the hydraulic fluid according to the circuit needs.it can be locked, oriented or stopped following the rack configuration.

Pressure controller… its role is to limit the discharge pressure and to protect the pump within a hydraulic circuit.

Limit or reduce the flow speed in a hydraulic circuit so as to control the actuators speed when the load is fixed. The flow regulator is arranged in series on pipes.
